Description:
Previous versions of the nfs-utils package included all NFS
functionality, including client, server, and generic functionality,
within a single package.
This update divides nfs-utils into two packages, nfs-utils and
nfs-client.
o NFS client and common NFS functionality have been relocated to
a new package, nfs-client, which can be installed independently
of the nfs-utils package.
o NFS server functionality has been retained in the nfs-utils
package, which has a dependency on the nfs-client package,
so that existing installations that include the nfs-utils
package will continue to function correctly after updating.
rPath Linux 1 now includes both packages by default.
To better follow rPath's recommended best practices for building
appliances, group-appliance-platform has been modified to contain
nfs-client:runtime (client only) instead of nfs-utils (client
and server). rPath recommends omitting NFS server functionality
from appliances that do not specifically require an NFS server;
for appliances that do require an NFS server, the nfs-utils:runtime
and nfs-utils:lib components may be added to the appliance.
