Description:
    The scsi_wait_scan module has been added to initrd images where
    it is available.  This module forces the kernel to finish scanning
    SCSI devices before attempting to mount the root device, preventing
    kernel panics where the root device has not been scanned prior to
    mount.
    
    28 Aug 2007 Update: Init has been changed to wait until all other 
    modules have been loaded before inserting scsi_wait_scan to ensure
    that all relevant devices are scanned.
