Description:
    Previous versions of the mkinitrd package reordered the entries in the
    grub configuration file under some circumstances, possibly causing an
    incorrect kernel version to be automatically selected during during
    subsequent system boots.  (RPL-1385)
    
    An unclean shutdown after a kernel update could render the newly
    installed kernel unbootable, though this has rarely occurred.
    An ext3flush utility has been added to rPath Linux to resolve this
    issue, and the mkinitrd utility has been modified to call this
    utility during kernel updates.  (RPL-1256)
    
    mkinitrd has been enhanced to build initrd images capable of loading
    firmware.  (RPL-1266)
