rPath Linux: Live Images Beta

The rPath Linux Project has created live images of rPath Linux. These
images are available in three formats:

* Live CD ISO - minimal GNOME rescue environment
* Raw HDD image - text based development platform
* VMware X86 image - minimal GNOME environment

NOTE: The available image versions referenced by this announcement are
considered beta-quality.

Download Images
---------------

The images can be downloaded via FTP from the following locations:

Live CD image:
ftp://download.rpath.com/pub/rpath/linux/beta/1.0.2/rpath-1.0.2-livecd-x86.iso

Raw HDD image:
ftp://download.rpath.com/pub/rpath/linux/beta/1.0.2/rpath-1.0.2-rawhd-x86.img.gz

VMware image:
ftp://download.rpath.com/pub/rpath/linux/beta/1.0.2/rpath-1.0.2-x86.vmware.zip


Using the Images with Virtual Machines
--------------------------------------

You may wish to evaluate and test these images using a virtualization
technology instead of physical hardware.  Documentation for using these
images with such tools as QEMU and VMware Player is available on the
rPath Wiki:
