We're complicating the Conary development process for the next few months. To
Conary development is going to split into three pieces for a while.
1. Conary 1.1.31.x will be developed in the conary-1.1 mercurial repository. It contains minor fixes to 1.1.31, and will not be released to the public as binary builds. It will be used to provide bug fixes for both our commercial products and rBuidler Online. It should be considered the most stable release for running repositories and proxies. No protocol changes or schema changes are allowed.
2. Conary 1.2 will be developed int the conary mercurial repository. It will have continuous merges with the Conary 1.1.31.x source tree, and it will be considered the correct client to use until Conary 2.0 is ready. We anticipate active development in this tree, with the first major code merge for 1.2.0 happening today.
3. Conary 2.0 will be developed in the conary-2.0 mercurial repository. It already contains a large number of schema changes to support per-group permission setting as well as postgres. It will be considered a development version for the next 3 months or so as we integrate it into an upcoming release of rBuilder Online. It will have continuous merges from the Conary 1.2 tree (which will bring in the Conary 1.1.31.1 changes).
